EPSOM SALT

Hey everyone!

How to detoxify my body is not a question I asked myself before I got sick. Over time, and working with the doctors and my nutritionist, I started to apply some of their advice.

Does it work or not?

I don't do anything extreme because my body is too weak. No intense cures for me. I simply apply a few gentle detox principles.

It seems to help reduce my headaches and dizziness. In addition, given the products I take, the detox also helps to preserve my liver and my kidneys from possible harmful effects, and to reduce the permeability of my gut.

1) EPSOM SALT

Relax and remineralize. But also, and above all, absorbing magnesium (which my body absorbs very poorly orally) and treating the onset of osteoporosis.

Gently detoxify once a week, either in a hot bath (200 g for at least 20 minutes), or a foot bath (1 to 2 tablespoon(s) in a basin of hot water for 20 minutes).

2) NETTLE TEA

Nettle tea has diuretic properties and is draining for the kidneys. I use it organic and in a sachet (Floradix brand), one cup every 2-3 days, in the morning or in the afternoon (never in the evening given the diuretic effect). It's like drinking a good nettle soup but lighter.

3) MILK THISTLE

Milk thistle is excellent for eliminating toxins from the liver and stimulating the gallbladder. I take it as a mother tincture, 8 drops in a glass of water, in the evening on an empty stomach before going to sleep.

4) BLACK RADISH

Winter is precisely the season for black radish which is very effective in detoxifying the liver. I peel it and cut it into pieces (in a mixed salad) or into thin slices (as an appetizer).

5) ACTIVATED VEGETABLE CHARCOAL

It absorbs everything in its path. In the days that follow, I feel a decrease of brain fog and an improvement in headaches and dizziness. Once a week, one teaspoon in a glass of water on an empty stomach in the evening before bedtime (Carbo 1000 brand). Since it can lessen or neutralize the effects of medication, it should not be done too often.

6) DAILY WALK OR PRANAYAMA

Oxygen and elimination by the action of the lungs is not to be neglected.

Even in the worst state of my pericarditis, I went for a daily walk outside. To move, avoid phlebitis, not lose all my muscles, but also to detoxify my body. When I feel that my muscles and joints are sufficiently warmed up, I always take care to breathe deeply. First, by exhaling deeply, then by inhaling more and more of this good fresh air (pure and unpolluted if possible ;-)).

In the morning, I air the rooms. And if I can't get out, yoga brings me an opportunity to do beneficial breathing exercises (called Pranayama). Without going so far as to practice Kapalabhati (which is certainly the most powerful Pranayama for detoxifying), the simple act of breathing deeply brings the benefits of detoxification.

I apply these detox principles on a daily basis, alternately and according to my possibilities and needs. I hope this blogpost will make you want to try one or the other.

HEALING IS A SUCCESSION OF SMALL AND BIG DAILY EFFORTS. NEVER GIVE UP!

Pericordially yours,

Vali
