#64-A VERY VULNERABLE PLACE

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER STORY

ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER STORY

Hey everyone!

This blog, and the Instagram page that goes with it, are places of incredible vulnerability for me. I talk about the illness and my journey to overcome it. Not to talk about myself (I hate that!), but to offer support to those who are struggling like me with pericarditis and its host of uncertainties, fears, frustrations and pain.

My goal has always been to create a small community where those who identify with it feel listened to and understood. A place to feel less alone in this very dark experience of pericarditis.

We all have our story and sharing it can help someone.

But for me, it means exposing myself, on the one hand, and being confronted with the suffering of others, on the other. I have always considered empathy and compassion to be qualities that are part of maturity. And yes, they are!!

I stopped writing on this blog for reasons of vulnerability. I started working again, and it took 100% of my energy and limited abilities. Continuing the blog was no longer possible physically and emotionally. Then, everything I had to share was either not positive enough (I'm not here to dampen your morale, but to encourage you and motivate you to fight), or premature in due to my lack of experience on the subject (in particular, with regard to treatment trials whose results may require months of hindsight before being able to formulate conclusions).

I hope to be back and have the strength and courage to share with you the rest of my journey of healing from my pericarditis.

It's been six years since I first felt the symptoms. They gradually fade away. I still feel them sometimes after a busier day (for example, when I have to travel). But I manage to master them for the most part. And I have the absolute conviction that I can heal.

About a year ago, I stopped posting on this blog for the reasons mentioned above. Let’s see what else this blog can inspire me!

Stick around if you want to know the rest of my story!

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER STORY!

Pericordially yours,

Vali
